04In service

Where they work.

The same hull works for a rescue crew at speed, a dive club, a family day out and a cargo run. Each is specified for the job it has to do, and comes back looking much as it went out.

05Manufacture

Rotational moulding.

Powdered polyethylene is loaded into a heated mould that turns on two axes until the material fuses into one seamless, hollow shell. Nothing is bonded, bolted or laminated.

  1. 01

    Material

Powdered polyethylene, UV-stabilised and pigmented right through.

  2. 02

    Heat

The charged mould enters the oven.

  3. 03

    Rotation

It turns on two axes at once, so the melt coats every surface evenly.

  4. 04

    Fusion

Three layers fuse into one wall. No join, no weak point.

  5. 05

    Cooling

Controlled cooling sets the form and locks in the structure.

  6. 06

    Hull

The shell leaves the mould finished. No gelcoat, no lay-up, no filler.

06The material

Why polyethylene.

  • 01

    Impact resistance

Beach launches, pontoon knocks and rescue work leave scuffs rather than cracks. Bending begins only at 200 kg per 1.56 dm².

  • 02

    Unsinkable by material

Polyethylene is less dense than water, so buoyancy is a property of the hull itself — not of added foam or air chambers.

  • 03

    Low maintenance

UV-stabilised and chemically inert. No annual gelcoat work, no osmosis, no repainting. Wash it down and go back out.

  • 04

    Lighter, so faster

Moulding uses less material than laminating. A Hydra 450 weighs 298 kg, so a modest outboard delivers real performance.

  • 05

    Self-draining decks

Water that comes aboard leaves on its own. Combined with the moulded hull, this is why the range is specified for rescue and patrol.

  • 06

    100% recyclable

One material, no composites, no resins. At the end of its service life the whole hull can be reprocessed.

Built for the water. Built to work. Built to last.
